The Mountain Satellite Office serves math and science teachers in Western North Carolina. Our goal is to create a community of teachers and schools who use technology to improve the teaching of science and mathematics. The office is housed at The Health Adventure, a health and science museum in Asheville. The Mountain Satellite service area includes Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Swain, Macon, Jackson, Haywood, Transylvania, Henderson, Buncombe, Madison, Yancey, Mitchell, McDowell, Rutherford and Polk counties. |

Do you want to integrate technology into your classroom but don't have the funds to purchase your own equipment? Teachers who participate in Science House technology workshops and who teach in the counties served by the Mountain Satellite Office are eligible to borrow equipment for use in their classroom.

The Mountain Satellite Office offers a variety of services for teachers, schools and districts who wish to implement an inquiry learning program in a variety of formats: place-based, problem-based, case study, project-based, and more.
