The Science House is a learning outreach project of NC State University. Our mission is to work in partnership with K12 teachers to increase the use and impact of hands-on learning technologies in mathematics and science.

The Science House provides professional development for teachers across NC. Workshop participants receive hands-on experience and ideas for their classrooms. The following workshops are open to all teachers!

The Science House provides professional development to update and refresh teachers’ mathematics, science, and technology skills. These workshops have been taught many times in schools across North Carolina and other states. Our workshop participants learn skills and activities that they can immediately use in their own classrooms. Each workshop can be tailored to fit local needs.

The Science House has submitted a new Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) proposal to hold three new Summer Modeling Instruction Institutes in 2012 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

If your answer to any of these questions is a resounding “NO”, then call immediately to set up a safety workshop for your school or school system! All safety workshops can be adapted to your needs.
